Cinema fans flock to Dysart's first Sail in Film Festival Dysart played host to Fife's first outdoor film festival with a champagne reception kicking off a spectacular viewing experience for everyone involved.
The Sail In Film Festival, inspired by Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, Dysart Townscape Heritage Initiative, Fife Council and supported by Celebrating Fife 2010, showcased local and international films inspired by the Fife coast. The event attracted an audience that included local dignitaries as well as film fans.
After the champagne reception, an Indie Showcase was held in the historic Harbourmaster's House which included a selection of film screenings, story readings and interviews with actors and independent film-makers.
Youngsters were able to take part in pirate-themed games and activities.
The outdoor screening saw movies projected onto a large white sheet, representing a giant sail, which hung over the great quarry walls of medieval Dysart harbour.
