As an environmental charity, Fife Coast & Countryside Trust is committed to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the environmental impact of our activities. As a visitor or local resident, you can help too. We invite you to consider the following eight points which would help us to keep our county beautiful for future generations:
1. Give the car a rest – Leave the car behind, if only for a day. Walk, cycle or use public transport. Our website can provide you with a link to advice at : www.traveline.org.uk.
2. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – Try to avoid overly packaged goods and say no to that extra carrier bag. You can also support us in our efforts to recycle by using any of the recycle bins provided by us in the Bistro.
3. Respect Nature – Help us to look after the landscape and wildlife by not littering, guarding against fire and using the footpaths responsibly. Please don’t leave bags of dog waste behind.
4. Shop local – use local products, they give you a flavour of the area and help support local communities. We are fortunate to have some fantastic producers of food, drink, and arts and crafts in Fife. Ask about local markets or local and regional produce. 5. Nature Watch - Please support our Nature watch records centre by telling us of any wildlife sightings. You can use the link on our website to tell us about the wildlife you have seen. www.fifecoastandcountrysidetrust.co.uk click on Fife Nature Records Centre on the left of the screen and follow the link to the recording form.
6. Support Green businesses - There are numerous businesses in Scotland trying to reduce their carbon footprints including Fife Coast and Countryside Trust.

7. Feedback – if you think there is something we can do better or could reduce our waste please tell us using the suggestions box located in our Coastal Centre on the Lower Ground Floor.
