Architecture

Whether you are marvelling at the engineering precision of the Kincardine or Forth Bridges, or imagining life in the 13th century Balmerino Abbey for a Cistercian monk, the whole of the Fife Coastal Path provides a window to Fife's past through its built heritage. Explore the foundations of Fife. ‚Äč

The whole route is littered with architectural gems including the more traditional castles and churches, to the unusual folly of Lady Tower, or the commemorative arches at either end of the path.

Built by local apprentices and designed to reflect the history, culture and nature of the region, they are both a modern monument to Fife's past and future.
