Wildlife is everywhere on the Fife Coastal Path, a keen eye and ear will open up a whole new world of animal life to you.

Although you won't need any specifics on where to find wildlife, our Rangers have highlighted some of their favourite places for spotting native fauna.

Kingsbarns or Cambo Sands are a seabird magnet with gannet and eider regularly spotted and further along the coast Tenstmuir Sands is home to grey seals and many seabirds.  At Tayport you might be lucky enough to find bottlenose dolphins frolicking in the Firth.

We preserve many wildflower meadows along the path to encourage native birds and insects and butterflies are particularly prevalent.

There are several nature or wildlife reserves along the Fife Coastal Path which are particularly notable, but keep your eyes and ears peeled everywhere along the path and you'll be amazed at the array of different species that makes this coast so special.
